Please note tickets for all trips and outings must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Refunds will only be given if the ticket can be resold to a member on an existing waiting list, or if the purchaser can resell to another member.

Beeston u3a Trips and Outings.

We are looking to restart membership wide trips and outings later this year. We aim to

start by offering a few local trips using public transport and at low cost. These will be

trips we have undertaken previously and which have proved very popular. We will then

expand our offerings to trips further afield and with an associated higher cost, if there is

enough interest.

Below are five trips each with a different theme. Take a look and see if any of these

appeals to you. We aim to undertake these trips in late September. More dates may

also be available later in the year.

We need your feedback as soon as possible to arrange these trips so please can you

reply by Friday 21st August 2026. We will respond to all interested members after this

date. Your response is not a commitment – merely an indication of interest.

We will be providing members with a range of further afield trips which may involve travel

agents for transport and insurance/indemnity. Watch out for updates in our monthly

notices. We will also have a table at forthcoming open meetings to showcase trips

where we will be interested in hearing your ideas.

*St. Mary’s Church, Lace Market – Nottingham’s largest medieval building, a stunning Grade 1 listed fifteenth-century landmark.	£5 – 10 or maybe a donation*
Bromley House Library – an historic independent library inside a Georgian townhouse on Angel Row, Nottingham.	£10 – 15
*Stonebridge Farm, Sneinton – an urban community farm featuring animals and gardens.	£5 or maybe a donation*
Chetwynd Barracks – the memorial to the 134 civilians who died in the 1918 Chilwell munitions factory explosion. This memorial is normally inaccessible to the general public.	FOC

*We are awaiting up to date information from these two locations regarding any costs – where a donation is encouraged that will be at the member’s discretion.
